This Sydney Panchangam for 2027-04-01 is computed using Drik Ganita (modern observational astronomy) with the Lahiri (Chitra-paksha) Ayanamsa — the Government of India's official sidereal standard adopted by the Rashtriya Panchang since 1957. Sunrise, sunset, moonrise, moonset, tithi junctions, nakshatra changes, yoga, and karana are calculated for Sydney's exact geographic coordinates to give location-accurate timings.
All computations use NASA-grade ephemerides converted to sidereal positions via the Lahiri Ayanamsa (current value approximately 24°13′). Tithi is the lunar phase (Moon-Sun longitude difference / 12°), Nakshatra is the Moon's lunar mansion (sidereal longitude / 13°20′), Yoga is the combined Sun + Moon longitude / 13°20′, and Karana is half a tithi. Standards reference: Lahiri Ayanamsa, the foundational ephemeris by N.C. Lahiri (1939) adopted by the Government of India in 1955.
Every timing on this page is computed by our own panchangam engine and regenerated daily by an automated build. This page is not individually reviewed by a person. The calculation methodology behind it is set and reviewed by Pandit Ramachandra Sharma, Editorial Lead for Panchangam Methodology, and follows the same Drik Ganita and Lahiri (Chitra-paksha) standard used by the Government of India Rashtriya Panchang (Positional Astronomy Centre, Kolkata). Almanacs that follow other systems are catalogued in our Panchangam Library. Our Editorial Policy sets out exactly what we review and what we do not.
