Our commitment
Panchangam and festival dates carry ritual weight. A wrong tithi means a wrong fast; a wrong muhurat means a decision made at the wrong time. We treat errors as first-priority defects, not opinions.
Report an error
- Fastest: use the Contact page with the exact URL and what you believe is wrong.
- Include a source (DrikPanchang, printed Rashtriya Panchang, temple portal, published journal) when possible — it accelerates verification.
- For date/time errors, include your city — panchangam values are city-specific.
What happens next
- Acknowledged within 48 hours.
- Verified against ≥2 authoritative sources.
- Fixed within 7 days for date/muhurtam errors, 30 days for content edits.
- Logged publicly in our correction record (below) with the original error, the correction, and the date.
Public correction record
We publish substantive corrections to date, muhurtam, or ritual content. Copy-editing / typo fixes are not logged.
- 2026-07-15 — /festivals/ hub cards for Hanuman Jayanti, Navratri, Dussehra, Diwali, Kartika Purnima, Vaikunta Ekadashi 2026 were showing incorrect dates (off by 1 to 10 days). Fixed and cross-verified against DrikPanchang + ISKCON + regional temple portals. Guardrail added: build now aborts on any hub-date drift.
- 2026-07-15 — 4 festival puja-vidhanam pages (Vinayaka Chavithi, Varalakshmi Vratam, Krishna Janmashtami, Sharad Navaratri 2026) shipped with incorrect dates. Corrected via the site's own year-page engine and re-indexed via Google Indexing API.
Systemic fixes
Where an error reveals a class of bug, we ship a build-time guardrail so the same class cannot ship again. Example: after the 2026-07-15 hub-date incident we added a truth-file verifier that fails the deploy on any date drift on the /festivals/ hub.
