మంగళవారం — Tuesday, 21 July 2026

పూర్ణమదః పూర్ణమిదం
Purnamadah Shanti Mantra
Isha Upanishad, opening invocation

Transliteration (IAST)

Oṃ pūrṇam adaḥ pūrṇam idaṃ pūrṇāt pūrṇam udacyate / Pūrṇasya pūrṇam ādāya pūrṇam evāvaśiṣyate / Oṃ Śāntiḥ Śāntiḥ Śāntiḥ

English Translation

That is Whole. This is Whole. From the Whole, the Whole arises. When the Whole is taken from the Whole, the Whole alone remains. Om, peace, peace, peace.

Context & Significance

The Shanti Mantra opening the Isha Upanishad and the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad. The deepest articulation of Advaita Vedanta — that the absolute Brahman is undivided and inexhaustible.
