About This Bangalore Panchangam

This Bangalore Panchangam for 2026-10-19 is computed using Drik Ganita (modern observational astronomy) with the Lahiri (Chitra-paksha) Ayanamsa — the Government of India's official sidereal standard adopted by the Rashtriya Panchang since 1957. Sunrise, sunset, moonrise, moonset, tithi junctions, nakshatra changes, yoga, and karana are calculated for Bangalore's exact geographic coordinates to give location-accurate timings.

When to Use This Panchangam

Calculation Methodology

All computations use NASA-grade ephemerides converted to sidereal positions via the Lahiri Ayanamsa (current value approximately 24°13′). Tithi is the lunar phase (Moon-Sun longitude difference / 12°), Nakshatra is the Moon's lunar mansion (sidereal longitude / 13°20′), Yoga is the combined Sun + Moon longitude / 13°20′, and Karana is half a tithi. Standards reference: Lahiri Ayanamsa, the foundational ephemeris by N.C. Lahiri (1939) adopted by the Government of India in 1955.

Trust & Author

Calculated and verified by Pandit Ramachandra Sharma, Vedic Astrologer & Panchangam Scholar. Cross-referenced against the Government of India Rashtriya Panchang (Positional Astronomy Centre, Kolkata) and major regional almanacs catalogued in our Panchangam Library. Updated daily via automated cron with full audit trail.
