Toilet & Bathroom Vastu — మరుగుదొడ్డి స్నానాలగది వాస్తు
Vastu Shastra Telugu Guide · Classical Manasara & Mayamatam principles
Toilets and bathrooms are negative-energy zones that must be carefully placed. Northeast or center placement is a major Vastu dosha that affects family health and finances.
Ideal Direction
- Best: Northwest (Vayavya) — Vayu carries waste energy away
- Acceptable: West, South-Southwest, South
- AVOID at all costs: Northeast (most spiritual zone), Southeast (kitchen zone), Center (Brahmasthan)
Internal Rules
- Door: Face East or North while seated on toilet. Door should open outward.
- Toilet pot direction: North-South axis (head when seated faces South or North)
- Drain: Toward Northeast or East (water flows toward sacred direction = positive)
- Door always closed: when not in use — prevents energy leak
- Mirror: Should not face toilet pot
- Color: light colors (white, light blue, light green). Avoid dark/black tiles.
Remedies if Toilet is in Wrong Direction
- Toilet in Northeast: Most serious. Place a copper Vastu yantra below the toilet. Keep door always closed. Place sea salt in a bowl in toilet (replace weekly).
- Toilet in Center (Brahmasthan): Annual Vastu Shanti puja mandatory. Place camphor jar inside toilet.
- Toilet above pooja room or bedroom: Avoid using during morning sandhya. Place copper yantra on ceiling below the toilet.
