East-Facing House Vastu — తూర్పు ముఖ ఇల్లు వాస్తు
Vastu Shastra Telugu Guide · Classical Manasara & Mayamatam principles
East-facing (Toorpu Mukham) homes are the most auspicious orientation in Vastu Shastra — the rising Sun blesses the main entrance daily. Specific room placements maximize this orientation's benefits.
Why East-Facing is Most Auspicious
The Sun (Surya) rises in the East. An East-facing main door means morning sunlight directly enters the home — purifying energy, activating the prana, and blessing the residents with fame, knowledge, and prosperity. East is governed by Indra (king of devas) and ruled by the Sun.
Ideal Room Layout
- Main door: East — preferably in the East-Northeast quadrant (closer to NE = more auspicious)
- Living room: East / Northeast — windows facing east for morning sun
- Pooja room: Northeast corner
- Kitchen: Southeast
- Master bedroom: Southwest
- Toilet: Northwest or West
- Open space: more in East and North; less in South and West
East-Facing Plot Selection
When buying an East-facing plot, verify:
- Road in front of plot (East side): Slopes downward toward East = best (water/energy flows away from house properly)
- Plot shape: Rectangular with longer East-West axis preferred
- Northeast cut/missing: AVOID — major Vastu dosha
- Higher in Southwest, lower in Northeast: Ideal land contour
