Plot Vastu — భూమి వాస్తు
Vastu Shastra Telugu Guide · Classical Manasara & Mayamatam principles
Plot selection is the foundation of Vastu — a Vastu-defective plot cannot be fully corrected even with a perfectly-built home on it. Shape, slope, soil, and road position all matter.
Ideal Plot Shapes (in order of preference)
- Square (Samachaturasra): Most auspicious — equal energy in all directions
- Rectangular East-West longer (Gomukhi-style): Excellent — wider in East captures Sun energy
- Rectangular North-South longer: Acceptable but less ideal
AVOID: Triangular, Irregular polygon, L-shaped, T-shaped, Trapezoidal with cut corners, Round/Oval.
Plot Direction & Cut Corners
- Extended Northeast corner: EXCELLENT — invites prosperity
- Extended other corners (NW, SE, SW): AVOID — creates imbalance
- Cut Northeast corner: MOST INAUSPICIOUS — health, wealth, marriage troubles
- Cut Southwest corner: Affects head of household stability
Plot Slope (Most Important)
- Highest in Southwest, lowest in Northeast: IDEAL — rainwater + energy flows toward NE = prosperity-attracting
- Higher in North than South: AVOID
- Higher in East than West: AVOID
Road Position
- Road on East: Best — Indra direction, auspicious for residents
- Road on North: Excellent — Kubera direction, wealth-attracting
- Road on Northeast (combined N+E): EXCEPTIONAL — most rare and prosperous
- Road on South: Acceptable for businesses, less ideal for residences
- Road on West: Neutral
- T-junction (road ending in plot — Veedhi Shoola): AVOID — major Vastu dosha
