The Mana has been an authority on Kerala Vedic ritual, Tantra Samuchaya temple consecration, Jyotisha, and panchangam compilation for many generations.
Kanippayyur Sankaran Namboothiripad
The most celebrated modern figure of the Mana was Kanippayyur Sankaran Namboothiripad (1891-1981), prolific author on Kerala Vedic tradition, Tantric ritual, and history. His scholarly authority cemented the Kanippayyur Panchangam as the Kerala reference.
