Maharashtra: the day of the great visarjan processions in Mumbai and Pune, when the largest public idols are immersed. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana: kept as Ananta Padmanabha Vratam, one of the principal Vaishnava household vrats of the year. Gujarat: the cord is worshipped and tied at home without a public procession. Odisha and Bihar: Anant Chaudas kept with the fourteen-knot cord and a strict fast.
