Odia Panjis & Puri Jagannath

Odia panjis are inseparable from Sri Jagannath Temple, Puri. The Khadiratna (Jagannath) Panji, published by Radharaman Press Cuttack and computed by Pandit Sri Krushna Prasad Khadiratna, has been used at Puri Jagannath Temple for ~85 years. The Kohinoor Press Panjika (Cuttack, 1928 press / 1935 first edition) has been used at Puri for ~88+ years — notable as it was founded by Aminul Islam, a Muslim publisher.

Distinct from these astronomical panjis is the Madala Panji — a palm-leaf historical chronicle of Sri Jagannath Temple and the Gajapati lineages, written every Vijaya-Dashami by Karana caste historians, not an astronomical almanac.
